'Clothes mean nothing until someone lives in them...' Marc Jacobs. My adoration for style and fashion comes down to the way it surrounds us with patterns, colours and designs and I am an extremely visual person who appreciates the aesthetics of the fashion landscape. The 'unclothed cognition', is a theory founded by Hajo Adam and Adam D. Galinsky which explains 'the effect that clothing has upon mental process and the way people think, feel, and function, in areas like attention, confidence, or abstract thinking' (Hajo Adam and Adam D. Galinksy). This concept supports the view that fashion maintains confidence, it is in sync with the common phrase 'look good, feel good', working along the basis that if we are dressed comfortably and fashionably, and we feel happy in what we are wearing then we will behave without restrictions and radiate optimism, another reason I idolise the fashion industry.
I am an energetic, innovative and dependable person striving to take on any challenge that comes my way. I tend to focus on producing work of a street style, majorly influenced by music, particularly the era of 90’s hip-hop and R&B. My work usually has a core focus of fashion, as I also enjoy styling my models in certain ways. I find colour incredibly important in photography, weather it be introducing a pop of bold colour into what would otherwise be a fairly neutral shoot, or focusing on having the whole frame really bright or really dark with no colour bursts. Photography is the biggest part of my portfolio because in my opinion it is a visual language that can speak to everybody around the world without the need for a shared spoken language, I beleive photography is really powerful and that is why I enjoy shooting so much.
